On Monday night, we went to Kade's school to meet his teacher and see his classroom. They first brought all of the Kindergarten parents and students (all 95 students!!!) into the multi-purpose room and allowed the Principal to introduce himself. He also told us some of the ins and outs of how the first day of school would run.
Then he had each class sit under their teacher's nametag. This is the procedure that they do each morning while waiting for everyone to arrive.
Kade was sooo excited...
Then they teacher came over and gave the kids some instruction on what they were doing and where they were going...
Then off they went. I dont even know what to say about this silly face!!!
We got to Mrs. Price's room...
...and Kade quickly found his seat with his bag on it. He was excited that it said his name...
His teacher seems great. She was actually the "Teacher of the Year" last year...so we will see. The white bags that she gave out are actually the kids first homework assignment. Kade has to decorate the bag then put three things in it that tell something about him. Then he will have to show them to Mrs. Price and tell her what it means.
They start school on Thursday. I cant believe he will be going to Kindergarten on THURSDAY!!! Wasnt he just born yesterday???
