Change of Seasons

Well, football season is officially over.  Caton's team found out today that they will NOT be headed to a bowl game (even though they ended the season 7-5).  It stinks...I mean, it really stinks.  But, hopefully, the players will use this "snub" as a way to propel their preparations this offseason.  Almost like a chip on their shoulder.

So with the ending of one season, we jump right into the next.  On Saturday, Caton held the final challenge for the Baseball team.  This is the "grand finale" of the off-season training cycle.  We went with him to watch the final competition and then we all had a wonderful lunch prepared by some of the "Topper Club" members.

Weslie was so excited to see her favorite player!!!  Casey Dykes!!!

When I say that this girl loves her some Casey...that is a dramatic understatement.  She did not leave his side all day long!!!

We left there and headed to Kade's first basketball game.  The only way to describe it is like a bunch of chicken following the feed bucket around.  As the ball moved, the pack of boys moved.  There was minimal dribbling, and even fewer shots on the goal.

But the shots that WERE taken, somehow found the inside of the rim.  Kade even scored the first goal for our team!!  We ended up winning 8-4.

As always, Kade had an adoring fan club...
