27 week checkup

We had our 27 week checkup today. Everything is looking great. They actually did a short ultrasound to measure just how big this baby is...and surprisingly, its not THAT huge. According to the ultrasound, Baby is about a week bigger than it should be...but that's not that big of a deal. Doc says Baby measures about 2lbs 10oz right now (but you know that those measurements are never very accurate!!!) Anyways, my bp was good...actually alittle low. Baby's heartrate was 143 bpm...which is about 10 bpm slower than its ever been...but it could have been asleep or just getting bigger.

Kade and Caton both came to the ultrasound. It was awesome to see Kade's reaction to seeing the baby on the monitor. He was actually able to name all the parts that the tech was measuring...so I think it is finally setting in - that there is a real baby in Mommy's belly. Kade thought it was really cool that we got some pictures of the baby too.

Doc did say that I will start going to see him every two weeks now. And that for the last 5 weeks of pregnancy, he is going to have me come in and sit on a stress monitor...just to make sure that Baby isnt freaking out or anything.

So all's looking good. Only about 12 weeks to go!!! (AND that means that there are only 11 weeks until Christmas!!! Better get your shopping started!!!)
