Texas Bowl: Lucky Strike

After arriving at our hotel, we went looking for food...then immediately to the room for some naps. We were all soooo tired and got in some great sleep that first afternoon. Until we were awakened by the sound of drums beating and horns blaring.

Which only meant one thing...the team had arrived!!!

So Kade and I went downstairs to welcome the boys to the hotel...Kade loves standing there giving all the players high-fives. And surprisingly, most of them know Kade by name...or some of them just call him, "Little Caton." But still, its sweet.

That night, we went to "Lucky Strike". It was a bowling alley/bar where they had the annual autograph signing for the players and families. Each family and player got a Texas Bowl ball that they were allowed to take around and have anyone that they wanted to sign it. Caton and Kade made sure to get all of the seniors.

Kade and 'Spoon...

Funny story: One of Kade's favorite football players is 'Spoon (above). While we were in the elevator, the door opened up and 'Spoon was standing outside of it waiting...and as the door closed Kade looked at me and said, "Mommy!! That was Scooper!!!" I eventually got a chance to tell 'Spoon that Kade had given him a new nickname...'Spoon thought it was pretty funny...so did we.

Kade and Jaron...

...and Kade giving everyone a little gymnastics show on the handicap bars on the ramp
