Today we got up, ate breakfast, and headed on the Children's Day Out adventure at the Perot Children's Museum.
When we got there, we were greeted with a light lunch and a face painter and a balloon animal maker. Wes got her face painted and everyone got balloon animals. Weslie's was a crown. Kole got a duck and Kade ended up with a sword and a gun (appropriate, I know.)
In the museum, we had a great time. We spent about 1.5 hours in there, and it wasn't nearly enough time! In one room they had where you could race against someone/thing on a small track. Kade chose to race a pro football player.
Kole chose a cheetah...
And Wes chose a pro soccer player.
None of the kids were even close to beating their opponent. I think Daddy needs to do some speed work with these three!!!
We found the only bear in the whole place...and threw up a Sic'em right by it!
Then in one of the last rooms that we found, it was all building stuff and engineering. All the kids had a great time in this room...and probably could have stayed in there all day long.
Wes constructed a suspension bridge
Kole and Wes rigged up a track for a ball...
And Kade found the robots and mechanical cars. I literally had to pry them out of this place. You could easily spend 4-5 hours in this museum.
That evening, we had Chad stay with the kids (until KK arrived) so that we could got to the Denim and Diamonds event.
It was really fun. Just really chill and John Legend was AWESOME!!!!
When we got back, we had a new surprise. Some Beats by Dre wireless workout headphones...
...AND KK had arrived!!! We were so excited to see KK and have her spend the rest of the week with us!
