San Diego: Game Day

Thursday finally rolled around and it was game day!  The game wasn't scheduled to start until 6:45pm, so Caton and Kade decided to run over to the USS Midway to take a look around.

There were all kinds of fun air crafts to look at and sit in. They also were able to get in a flight simulator. Sounded like they had a blast! When they got back, it was about time for Caton to leave for the game, so we said "Good Luck" to our Daddy, with the hopes that the next time that we saw him, he would be a Holiday Bowl Champ.

We were getting ready, and Kade wanted a BU on the side of his head...so I took Caton's razor and shaved out a little spot for the temporary tattoo.

The field sized flag...

During the game, both boys ended up falling asleep...

...but this little girl played strong, rooting on the Bears!

After the game, Kade was able to hop over onto the field with Caton, and was able to experience the aftermath in the locker room with the team. They took this pic with the trophy.

We finally got back to the hotel room around 1:30am. After we put the children to bed, Caton and I set out to tackle the task of packing back up our rooms to send our stuff back on the equipment truck. We went to bed a few hours later, knowing that we would have a long day of travel ahead of us. But knowing we would return to Texas as winners of the bowl game made it a little easier to handle the stresses to come.

It sounds like you all had a great
time and saw lots of neat things.
And, of course, the game victory
was a huge accomplishment.
Congrats to all. Love, Aunt J
