With Caton starting football camp, and the children not starting school until the end of the month, I decided to take the kids to Alabama for a few weeks.
We took off on Saturday, the 4th headed for Baton Rouge. I figured that the most time that the kids (and I) could handle in the car together would be about 8 hours. So Baton Rouge was a great place for us to stop for the evening.
Plus we got to hang out with Kate, Aaron, Jackson and new baby Henry! The big kids were in love from the moment they held him...

And honestly, they were both really good with him. Kade would even tell the other kids, "You have to hold his head like this!" as he would stick his elbow up under Henry's head.
Then we sat everyone down to try to get a group shot. The "outtakes" of this photo were hilarious. But this was the best one...

...so we stayed in BR for a night, then we were on to Alabama the next morning. We made it to KK's house in the early afternoon. Just in time for this Mommy to catch a short nap while KK took the big kids grocery shopping.
