Triple Play

Kade had his last regular season baseball game last night.  And it just so happened that our regular second baseman was sick, so Kade played second the entire game.

At first, he wasnt fielding very well.  He let two different balls go under his glove.  Instead of getting easy outs, he was allowing base runners.

And just as I texted Caton that very update this scenario happened:
There were runners on first and second, no outs, top of the line up up to bat.  A pop fly was hit to the second baseman (Kade), he caught it or out #1.  Then Kade ran to second base, stepping on the base before the runner could return to second for out #2.  Then he threw the ball to first before the runner on first could get back to the bag for out #3!!!

Im not sure that Kade knew exactly what an accomplishment he had just made.  A TRIPLE PLAY!!!!  Our coach was so excited, he even called Caton after the game to tell him what had happened.

We ended up winning the game in the bottom of the 7th with bases loaded and two outs.  Our #9 hitter got a rip down the third baseline and scored the tying and winning RBIs.  It was a wonderful way to end the season.

Now we have the playoffs and if our boys can keep playing like they did this last game...we could go pretty far into the post season :0)

How wonderful for Kade and Congratulations to him. Great for you to see all the action and what a shame his Dad missed such an explosive play.
Love to all of you from Aunt Reen

This is just absolutely fantastic.
Max said he was just setting the
opposing team up by letting the two
balls go through in order to make
a great play. That's a heart thumper. Love and kisses.
