Last week, the kids and I took off to Alabama for Spring Break. We were sad to have to leave our Daddy behind, but we were excited that we would get to spend so much time with our family in lower Alabama.
The drive from KY to AL was exactly 8 hours long. We stopped once for gas/lunch and only had to stop one other time to use the bathroom (and let the kids run for a minute.) After a day of driving, I was exhausted...and the kids were ready to run and play. So the first evening was spent unpacking the car and relaxing.
On Saturday morning, we got up and headed to Caton's parents house for a fun-filled day of Easter egg hunting and birthday celebrating.
Weslie's BIG birthday present was a Power Wheels Barbie Jeep from Caton's parents, KK, and us. We ended up allowing her to open it on Saturday morning so that she could take it with us and share the fun with her cousins.
And I'm so glad we did. This captured the pure enjoyment that they had driving that jeep ALL OVER the place!

There were giggles upon giggles coming out of that car!!!
Kole got some loving from his Aunt Kendra...

(she only has girls, so anytime she can love on our boys, she takes it!!!)
These two were inseparable...like two long lost sisters...

After celebrating Easter with an egg hunt, and eating lunch, there was a birthday party for a special 4 year old! She was super excited...

She got to eat cupcakes and open her gifts. She was sooo excited that all of that was for her!
And these two pics were too sweet not to post. Uncle Charlie got him some little boy lovin' in too!!!

We left there and headed to an engagement party for my cousin. The children had a great time playing with even more cousins (second cousins). Once we finally got home, everyone crashed out of exhaustion!!! It was a great way to kick off our Spring Break!
