On Friday, Kade's class had their Christmas Party. Since Caton has some downtime right now, he AND I were able to go and help out.
The kids each got to decorate a snowflake ornament that had their picture in the middle.
Caton said, "I feel like this whole party is a 'Mom-thing'!" It was probably because he was the only Dad there :)
After the craft, they ate a snack - fruit, sugar cookie, and a pretzel snack.
Then they had their gift exchange. Each child brought a wrapped book. Then they sat in a circle and passed books while the music played. Once the music stopped - that was the book they got to open.
Just a quick sidebar from a very proud Mommy: Kade ended up with a gift that another little boy had brought. This particular little boy got very upset, because he wanted the book that he brought. So Kade decided to give the little boy back his book and just take another book. His teacher was so proud of him that he got to pick a special prize from her prize basket. (And his Mommy and Daddy were pretty proud of him too!!!)
Anyways, the class presented the teachers with gifts. This is Kade's aid -

He is just a regular little man and so unselfish. What a wonderful quality in one so young.
