For discipline, in Kade's classroom, the teacher has come up with a very visual process in order to not only tell the kids that they are getting in trouble...but show them as well. This process consists of everyone starting off each day with a green frog. That frog then changes colors based upon the individual's infraction - going from green to yellow to red to blue to black. And according to Kade, "If you get a black frog, you go to visit the principal and you will get a note home to your Mommy and Daddy."
So today, Kade got in the car, and I asked him show his day went. He told me that he got his frog turned to yellow..."but Momma, it was just a morning. Really, the whole class got a morning! So everybody had a yellow frog!"
I think he meant warning...but maybe it DID happen in the morning?!?!
