Baseball Beginnings

This weekend was Kade's very first baseball game. He was totally excited all week and asked every day if today was game day. So when Saturday finally rolled around, he already had his game-face on...
I'm sure this is just the first of many, many jerseys with this name on it...
The game was hilarious. Our boys didnt hit that great, and our fielding left alot to be desired, but it seemed that the boys had a great time...and they didnt even care that they ended up losing the game.

Our little baller played pitcher the first inning..
and he played catcher the second inning. He said he liked playing catcher the best because, "the catcher gets the ball ALOT!"

He got to hit two times...and both times it was a slow roller on the infield. But because he was the last batter in the line up, he got to run all the way around the bases. Here, the other team's catcher was trying to get all of our runners out. Kade dodged the tag...
And just some other random photos of our baseball player...
He fouled a bunch of them off...and was looking for the ball to be thrown back into the field...
And this photo cracks me up...Kade is running after his hit...but look at the boy in the background...playing in the dirt, not even paying a lick of attention. That is pretty much how the fielding goes in this league.
Kade has another game on Monday...and rumor has it, some of Caton's baseball players are going to come to cheer Kade and the Angels on. We will see if they really show up...but if they do, those little boys are going to be over to moon that some "real baseball players" came to their game!!!
