High Risk

Yesterday, we had to go to a consult with a high risk OB - just because of what all happened with Weslie...my regular OB wants another set of eyes on this pregnancy...just in case.

And basically, we got no answers from our appointment yesterday - nothing that we didnt already know. He said that he thought that by the looks of things...Weslie's stroke was spontaneous - meaning there really wasnt any reason as to why it happened...and there really isnt anything that we can do to keep it from happening again with this new baby.

But, he does want to keep a close eye on this pregnancy...so that just means more ultrasounds, a few more tests...all in the name of making sure that this baby is completely healthy.

So, we did get an ultrasound yesterday. Baby #3 is about a inch long and had it's little leg outstretched so we got a good look at him/her. The heartrate was 179 bpm and it is measuring right on for a New Year's Eve due date.

So that's all we know. We will go back to see the HR-OB (high risk OB) in a few weeks to have my 1st trimester screening done - this will screen for Downs Syndrome. Until then we have a regular OB (R-OB) appointment next week.

So just added another doctor to the mix. Which was actually highly entertaining because the HR-OB has a very thick Asian accent...and everytime he would leave the room, Caton would look at me and say, "What did he say?"...then I would have to translate the entire conversation...good stuff.

That's all I got. This week has felt like the longest short week ever...and we still have Friday to go!!!

Glad everything checked out! Please once again let me know if you need anything. I am sure Sienna would love to play with the kiddos if you need a break:)
