In the car last night...after Kade had been incessantly whining that his arm hurt:
Kade: Mooommmyyyy!!! My arm hurts!!!
Me: Kade, that's enough whining...you just need to suck it up!!!
Kade: But I cant, Mommy...its in my arm!!! Maybe I can just suck on my fingers.
After a few minutes of silence (except for my laughter)...
Kade: Mommy!!! My arm feels better!!! But I think I should keep sucking on my fingers just in case!!!
Me: (laughing) You do that Buddy...and let me know how it turns out.

also i HATE when im trying to be serious and i want to let my kids know that im serious but all i can do is smile and laugh!
