Science City

The day after the Royals game...we got up, ate breakfast and headed to Science City. This place was full of hands on activities that we were sure Kade and Weslie would love.

However, we did not anticipate having every single child that attended some sort of daycare in the Kansas City area to be at Science City too. It was a mad house!!! At one point, some of the children were climbing into the wall!!! Yes, they had found a hole in one of the exhibits and were climbing straight into the wall!!! It was then that I realized that I do not do well with "unsupervised, other-people's children". I wanted to yank some of them up and punish them for their behavior!!!

But eventually, they all left and we were able to enjoy all the activities that Science City had to offer.

...mini golf...

...touching the rabbit...

...the fossil exhibit...Kade is doing a dino puzzle...

...looking up at the wind tunnel (there was a box of things that you could put up the tunnel and watch them fly around and around)...

...Wes with a fire hat on...

...pumping the rocket; getting ready to launch...

...looking at a HUGE train set/city...

...Daddy raising Kade with a pulley...

...rolling the balls on the track...

...Weslie helping to retrieve the balls...

...in a helicopter...We realized that helicopters ARE NOT made for 300+ pound men!!! Caton had a hard time getting out of that thing!!!

...and my favorite pic of the day...kids on a gator...

After leaving Science City, we ate lunch in Union Station (it is a train station) then got on the road to head back to Co, Mo. I think the kids were asleep before we got out of the parking garage!!! Such a fun way to spend Caton's last free days before starting the 2009 Football Season!!!
