Easter Sunday

Sunday rolled around...and the kids were both up by 6:30am. So we got up, and found all the eggs...and Kade's Easter basket. He looked around at all the eggs and said, "Dat Bunny hide them ALL OVER!" It was really cute.

Then, we decided that we would attempt the 8:30am Mass, thinking that of all of them, that one would be the least crowded. Yeah, that must have been exactly what everyone else was thinking too. We ended up not even getting to sit in the church...but sitting in the parish hall and watching the Mass via closed circuit camera. And evidently, if you arent sitting in the Church, you dont have to keep your kids quiet...as there were 2 or 3 kids in the back of the room running around and screaming during the entire thing. It was very spiritually inspiring.

After Mass was over, the girls all headed to HyVee to get the last trimmings for Easter lunch and the boys headed home to start breakfast.

We ended up having a total of 11 people for lunch. Keith invited all of the GA's from the weightroom that didnt have anyone to celebrate with. So we all feasted on turkey, dressing, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, peas/mushrooms, rolls, pecan pie, birthday cake and ice cream. It was all soooooo good!!!

After lunch, we let Kade go on an egg hunt outside. The GAs were so sweet, helping Caton hide all the eggs (a total of three different times.) It was very fun...and I know Kade had a blast.

That night, we stayed very low key...ended up ordering a pizza from Shakespeare's and watching "Slumdog Millionaire." (It was a great movie...I can see why it won so many awards!!!)

Weslie was asleep by 6:30pm...and Kade wasnt too far behind her. They were exhausted from an awesome weekend!!!

This was taken while we were in WalMart on Friday...

Weslie wanted nothing to do with the Bunny...so her pic didnt turn out too well.
Here is the pose Kade struck when I asked him to get a pic of his Easter outfit...silly boy...

...and Weslie modeling her Easter bubble suit. She wore a pink dress with smocked bunnies to Church, but I had to take it off her as dresses get in the way of her crawling around...

...Kade going out to egg hunt...

...a rare pic of Mommy in front of the camera...

...and this is what Kade wanted me to take a picture of...

...he kept saying that he was in the band. Perfect.

So cute! I always had that problem with Hannah not being able to crawl in dresses. I figured out if you wad up the dress and stuff it in their bloomers they can crawl just fine!
