New Orleans

Our trip to Alabama for Mardi Gras was so much fun!!!

We started by flying to New Orleans and going to the French Quarter for lunch. We ate at Acme Oyster House, then went strolling down Bourbon Street to take in all the "sights." (It's not anything like I remembered it!!! Very dirty and unappealing!!!) Anyways, here is a shot of everyone partaking in "Bourbon Street festivities" (daiquiris and shots.) And NO, Keith did not really let Kade have some of his daiquiri!!!

...then we went on to Jackson Square. The place was deserted!!! There were hardly ANY peddlers and only ONE crazy statue guy!!! But we did get to go into St. Louis Cathedral and I took these shots from outside....

Then we went and had beniets at Cafe Du Monde and headed back to the car to make the 2 hour drive into Alabama.
