Beginning on Tuesday, Keith and I have SOMETHING going on every night until next Thursday. Most of the happenings are indeed Christmas Parties. So here is the run down of the last few nights out at the various parties....
Tuesday night...Baseball Staff Party/Dinner
Every year, the Baseball Staff get together with their spouses (no children) and go eat at a local establishment. This year, Sophia's was chosen. This is a local place with AMAZING food!!! So we go, visit, eat...and then the guys all begin the gift giving. They all trade names and get each other gag gifts relating to things that have happened over the course of the year.
This year Coach Pratte had Keith's name (Coach Pratte is an assistant coach and coaches third base when we are batting...and has a little boy, Paul, that is about a year older than Kade...they love playing together!!!) Anyways, Coahc Pratte's gifts were pretty cute!!! Due to the "lack of" baseball knowledge and terms that my dear husband DOES NOT know about baseball...Coach Pratte gave Keith the "Little League Book of Rules" so that Keith can study up and be ready for the season. Also, this past Fall, the baseball team was split into groups and each group had to make a short film highlighting their Baseball Team experience. Keith was in almost each group's film...sometimes as a coach, sometimes as a satire of a player. So in recognition of Keith's outstanding acting (and it REALLY was outstanding...no, not really)...Coach Pratte gave Keith an Oscar trophy and a certificate. Really cute!!!
Anyway, we had a great meal, and great conversation...as the Baseball Staff and their spouses are all REALLY nice and fun to hang out with.
