Back in the Game

So Kade had his surgery on Thurs. It all went good. He is still alittle swollen, but that is to be expected. The doc said that everything went well. So THAT is great!!!

Here are some photos of the night before surgery and the day of surgery.

The night before, we decided to allow Kade to feed himself with a spoon. He has pretty much gotten to the point that he WILL NOT allow you to feed him...he can do it by himself!!! So this was the result after the first attempt...

...he got the hang of dipping the spoon farely easily...but couldnt quite get the spoon to his mouth before everything fell off...

It was everywhere!!! We ended up just rolling Kade right into the bath and putting him in the tub!!! But, with alittle more practice, I think he will be just fine!!!

The day of surgery, it was alot of hurry up and wait. While in one of the waiting rooms, a little boy came in with two balloons. Kade was fascinated by them and the little boy's grandma ended up giving Kade one of them. That was the best thing!!! It kept Kade entertained for the longest time. He would shake it and hit himself in the head and just laugh and smile...too funny. And he would bite the string and hold it in his mouth...he is so silly!!!

Once they finally took us back to begin prep for surgery, they had us change Kade's clothes into a tiny hospital gown. I mean, I knew they had these, but it was too cute!!! Here is our "future doctor"...
